Introduction

All praise is due to Allah, the True One, the Ultimate Sustainer, the Ultimate Source of power and strength. He sent the messengers to guide the creation, and He made the last of them the greatest human being of all time. May blessings and peace be upon the truthful Prophet, whom Allah made to be a source of mercy for all creation, and whom He sent to all human beings. May blessings and peace be upon his pure family, his honored and illustrious companions, and all those who follow them with sincerity until the end of time.

Writing about the chosen Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is a great honor and privilege. Speaking about his love is a true pleasure and endless delight, in which each of the limbs has its share: the tongue stays moist with his name and prayers; the ears find comfort in hearing his story and words of guidance; the mind is bewildered by his greatness and humbled by his example; the heart finds the utmost compassion by loving him and admiring his manners; and the limbs and organs benefit by complying with his guidance, following his example, and emulating his beautiful behaviors.

The topic of loving the chosen Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is an endless ocean. How can any speaker or writer claim to encompass all angles of his greatness or to list out all ways of attaining his love? Can this objective be achieved in such a short amount of time or with any number of lectures? Absolutely not! What he deserves is far greater than any of that.

With this project, we hope to share a few points about the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم beautiful life that will invigorate our hearts, activate our emotions, and kindle our affection for him. Through this we hope that our determination will be strengthened, our aspirations will be lifted, and our energy will be revived. We must aim to strengthen our connection with him and follow his example more closely in order to achieve prosperity in this life, and success and salvation in the next—all by the permission of Allah, Mighty and Majestic.

We will attempt to present these points in a way befitting of the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم honored status. If there is any difficulty in this regard, then remember that he is, after all, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم. As one poet said:

He is pious and grateful to the highest degree

More noble a human being, there could never be
